Project Background:

I love working with HeartLines Director, Julie Cajune. I particularly enjoy working on projects that apply to my field. The DVD package design for an educational documentary called Redefined: American Indian Art & Identity is just that. I like to call it “art for an art form.” The content of the documentary was great. So, inspiration struck and the result is a great design.

From the back cover:

American Indian writers and visual artists talk about art and identity. At times, Native artists and writers expect to produce something that is characteristically “Indian.” What does that mean? Does art by Native people have to look or sound “Indian?” C. Maxx Stevens tells us that it only needs to be honest. In these interviews, several Native artists give honest, brave and insightful ideas about their own art and identity.
